Snowy Egret on a High Wire (photo)

Snowy Egrets are beautiful.  I especially like it when they have their head tucked back on their shoulders, like in this shot.  Another shot from our back yard.

White Ibis that came to visit yesterday afternoon (photo)

This White Ibis has been hanging around the back yard for a couple of days, but yesterday I had good light to really highlight some details, and it was in a place I could get some good clear shots.

I chose this one to share because it makes him look like he/she knows that his forebears were considered sacred in Egypt and Japan, among other places.  

Hope he/she hangs around to keep the herons that live out back company!

Saturdays can be slow for Seniors!

Trying something new with Dad today. Saturdays are really slow at the Terrace. M-F they have meals and activities, but things just kind of shut down on Saturdays. So today we're having lunch. And we'll try to do something most other Saturdays as well.
 
If you know someone in a similar situation, why not give them a call and go to lunch? You will both enjoy it!
